For the primary time, the U.S. News & World Report has denoted its rankings for the highest elementary and middle faculties in every state. Previously, solely high faculties and faculties were hierarchic by the publication.

In Connecticut, eight of the highest 10 elementary faculties were settled in Fairfield County.
