Mumbai News Live: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday slammed the BJP days after his brother-in-law found himself targeted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case seizing his assets. The ED has provisionally attached 11 residential flats of city-based Pushpak Bullion at a real estate project developed by Shree Saibaba Grihanirmiti Pvt Ltd, a company promoted by Shridhar Madhav Patankar. Patankar is the brother of Rashmi Thackeray, the wife of Uddhav Thackeray. Thackrey in a statement said, “I am not afraid of the actions of defaming my family and attaching their properties. I will come with you and put me in jail. If you are so desperate for power, then put me behind the bars. I am ready for it.”

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth Rs 11.35 crore of Shiv Sena leader Pratap Sarnaik in a Rs 5,600 crore fraud at the National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL), officials said. The attached properties include two flats and a land parcel in Thane, Maharashtra, they added. Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Disha Salian’s family, in a letter, urged President Ram Nath Kovind to take action against Union Minister Narayan Rane and his son Nitesh Rane, alleging that their daughter’s death is being politicized, news agency ANI reported.
